Iterato has completed the Set Stage of Northeastern University’s IDEA accelerator and been admitted into the Go Stage — a milestone marking the transition from business model design to fundraising and go-to-market execution for the platform serving students, trainees, and universities.

The Set Stage asked founders to answer a harder question: does this problem support a real business? For Iterato, that meant translating validated pain points from dozens of customer discovery conversations into a defensible business model — pricing, unit economics, and a go-to-market strategy built around the federal compliance mandates that make Individual Development Plans (IDPs) a non-negotiable requirement for NIH- and NSF-funded students and researchers.

Working alongside Northeastern’s mentors and advisors, the team stress-tested its financial assumptions, sharpened its positioning in a market ready for innovation, and prepared the foundation needed to pursue outside capital.

“The Set Stage challenges us to prove the model, not just the problem,” said the founding team. “We now have a business plan we can defend in front of investors and decision-makers alike — and we’re ready to build toward that next stage of growth.”

With that groundwork complete, Iterato now enters the Go Stage, where the focus turns to fundraising readiness, investor engagement, and preparing for launch — including eligibility for Northeastern’s IDEA Gap Fund.
