‍August 2026 — iterato has been awarded an Alpha Fund grant from Northeastern University's Center for Entrepreneurship Education (NUCEE), providing non-equity funding to support the next phase of early-stage development on iterato's Individual Development Plan (IDP) platform.

The Alpha Fund is designed to help Northeastern-affiliated ventures move a working proof of concept into a more advanced, market-ready product. For iterato, that means continued investment in the core pieces of the platform that research universities need to meet federal IDP requirements for NIH- and NSF-funded PhD students and postdocs, including the advisor/mentor accountability layer, institutional compliance reporting, and the workflow that connects students, advisors, and administrators in one place.

"This support comes at exactly the right moment," said the iterato team. "We're moving from early product validation into building the institutional-grade features that universities actually need to adopt this at scale. Having NUCEE's backing behind that next stage of development is a real vote of confidence in where Iterato is headed."

iterato has been part of Northeastern's entrepreneurship ecosystem through the IDEA venture accelerator, and this award builds on that relationship, reflecting NUCEE's broader mission of helping Northeastern innovators, faculty, and alumni turn technical progress into viable, fundable ventures.

The funding will directly support continued platform development as iterato works toward its first institutional pilots with students and universities across the country.
